During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jubilee Ministries, in partnership with the Christian Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania (CCCWP) served the City of New Castle through a number of initiatives.
Through the “ Make Your Day Project” we provided every resident in our 7 local nursing homes and every nurses station in our local hospital with a fresh bouquet of flowers. Once completed, we had delivered over 500 bouquets. We honored the local Fire and Police Departments for their service on the front lines with gift cards to local restaurants and we served breakfast to our EMS providers.
Through the “ Build The Family Project”, we gifted 420 families in our local housing projects with board games as a way to encourage families to spend quality time together during this time of quarantine.
In response to the food insecurity of many residents in our city, we are distributing 40 pound boxes of food to over 700 families in our community. This is an initiative that will continue.
